The MagazineNest is a pistol magazine carrier designed for practical shooting competition use. It’s primary attribute is that there’s no drag when removing the magazine during a high speed reload of your gun. Your magazine literally nests in a carefully shaped insert that keeps the feeding device retained using embedded neodymium magnets instead of the typical mechanical friction. When you draw the magazine out, you feel no resistance and you aren’t being distracted by what’s going on…down there. There are no tensioning screws to be too loose or too tight or need thread locker.

- Thanks to the four powerful N52 neodymium magnets the magazine stays retained yet remains free feeling when the magazine is retrieved. It’s like removing the retention screws altogether on your Kydex pouch, but without the consequences.
- Stow and go stages are vastly different with the MagazineNest. The funnel shaped top prevents lost time getting the magazines inserted straight. Positive feedback from the magnets means you will know for sure without looking that your magazines are secured for the rest of the stage. You will feel and hear the magazine being seated by the awesome magnets.
- Temperatures and cleanliness don’t make any difference with the MagazineNest, it’s snag free by design. Getting conventional magazine carriers to work smoothly requires a balance of tension screw adjustment and keeping all of the mating surfaces clean during a match. Ambient temperature changes often throw off that balance just enough to be noticeable and cause reload fumbles.
- The magnets are carefully positioned to maximize force, but only at the bottom. This is what makes the magazine feel like it’s being sucked in.
- The MagazineNest is a modular platform with universal fitments. First there are two different “bucket” shape options that offer shooters of all body shapes something that works for the size of their hips. Second, there are multiple optional adapters or “nests” that set into the buckets that are designed for certain magazines. The 020 nest for example is a universal fit for many of the most common medium size frame double stack 9mm handgun magazines. Say for example you are currently running an M&P and switch to a 1911 or STI platform, you only need to get new nest inserts for your MagazineNest system and swap the magnets into them.
